UPDATE: Spring 2017: I've moved and expanded! The khaki bungalow south of new on guelph line, burlington, ontario now houses six full time practices and a workshop.
I'd like to introduce myself, registered psychotherapist, I work with all ages. I'm a graduate trained art therapist (Concordia U) and teach at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute. I am finishing an advanced specialization in child and adolescent psychoanalytic psychotherapy at CICAPP.
In 2013, after over ten years experience and professional development in Montreal, I opened a new practice in Burlington, Ontario, and have expanded alongside my associates to offer services in Mississauga and Toronto as well at The Arterie. I offer individual and family assessments, and psychotherapy, as well as workshops and groups chez vous. Please feel free to contact me for more info, and sign up to my polite and infrequent newsletter for upcoming programs.
Art therapists have trained and worked in diverse settings in Canada for 40 years and counting; if you are interested in starting a program at your agency, or training in the field, I offer consultations and supervision for new programs and new art therapists. I have developed and led programs in hospitals, school boards, addictions recovery, shelters and more. I love to spread the word about how we can all use our creativity for healing, health, and growth, regardless of our past experience or talents in the arts.
I am glad to see that in Burlington and neighbouring communities, there is the same intrigue in learning about and using the arts in wellness as started me on this path. It is a full circle, returning to where I grew up with the powerful techniques in which I've been trained.
